Solution Architect - Insurance Policy Admin System (6 months project)

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the architecture and modernization of our client's insurance policy administration systems (AS400, Life/Group Asia). This role requires deep expertise in solution design, system integration, and migration strategies, with a strong understanding of the insurance domain, particularly life, and health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and high-performing policy administration solutions.
  
• Define and implement integration strategies across core insurance platforms, third-party systems, and digital channels.
  
• Drive migration initiatives from legacy policy admin systems (e.g., mainframe, AS/400) to modern platforms (e.g., cloud-native, SaaS-based).
  
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate insurance business requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  
• Provide architectural governance and mentorship to solution and domain architects.
  
• Document architecture decisions, patterns, and reusable components.
  

Requirements

• 10-15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior architecture role within the insurance industry.
  
• Proven experience with policy administration systems, including design, integration, and modernization.
  
• Strong knowledge of insurance business processes: policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and claims.
  
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration technologies (APIs, ESBs, messaging).
  
• Familiarity with data migration, ETL, and data quality practices in insurance contexts.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
