Sourcing Specialist

KEY ACCOUNTABILIES

• Identify and source prospective suppliers: support in driving the sourcing and procurement strategies; coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to forecast the future supply needs.
• Direct/Indirect Material Validation: collaborate with respective department(s) to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company; and to support the sourcing and purchasing goods are in good quality for production. 
• Suppliers’ Reliability and Serviceability: Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and to ensure compliance to terms of contracts; resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
• Cost-effective Management: Devise and discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses and managing relationships with key suppliers; and to track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.

JOB RESPONSBILITIES

• Cooperate and support the implementation of purchasing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services.
• Perform sourcing and purchasing activities, including but not limited to sourcing, supplier selections, price negotiations and contract management
• Develop and execute the company sourcing and purchasing strategy; and build up strong relationship with vendors and suppliers.
• Keep track on the suppliers’ performance and closely work with factory or related department to monitor the inventory levels, anticipate demand fluctuations, and develop inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages; ensure suppliers’ quality and delivery performance.
• Identify and seek opportunities as they relate to cost reduction, improved quality, supplier rationalization to an effective number in support of the business along with supplier management process.
• Interact with PM, Engineering, Quality and Production to define new materials/sourcing parts are required for Specific production development and/or mass production. 
• Keep abreast of the latest supply chain practice and sourcing development, trends in the market; effect necessary changes internally.

REQUIREMENTS:

• University graduate in supply chain management, engineering or equivalent. 
• Strong knowledge and expertise in sourcing and procurement of module and assemblies in the areas of plastic metals, electricals parts and factory supplies is an advantage. 
• Demonstrated experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Knowledge of in metal processing technology Familiar with sheet metal work, electrical draw material and other manufacturing processes is an advantage.
• Expertise with cost analysis, supplier analysis, performance metrics, and project management; and ERP.
• Experience of developing trust-based relationships at all levels and participation in the development and execution of the purchasing department function.
• Fluent in conversation, written and comprehension of English and Chinese.
