Job Description

Responsibility is to ensure the timely procurement of spare parts required for maintenance and repair activities. Closely with suppliers to source spare parts, manage inventory levels, and facilitate the purchasing process to support operational needs.

Key Responsibilities: -

Sourcing and Vendor management

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for spare parts based on price, quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure prompt response to purchase requests and resolve any issues.

Purchase Oder Processing: -

  • Generate and process purchase orders for required spare parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.

Inventory Control: -

  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts to ensure adequate stock availability for maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accuracy.

Cost Management: -

  • Implement cost-saving strategies such as bulk purchasing, supplier negotiations, and inventory optimization.
  • Track and analyze purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Documentation and Reporting: -

  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier contracts, and inventory transactions.
  • Generate reports on purchasing metrics, inventory status, and cost saving for management review.

Requirements: -

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management role is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with suppliers
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Detail -oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
