Job Description

Regional IT Finance - IT reporting and controls

Monthly IT reporting – CAPEX and OPEX reporting are in line with finance system

• Follow up with the Regional IT finance team on any actions arising from IT review meetings related to actuals and planning.
• Reconcile the IT monthly file for each local market’s CAPEX (actual and forecasted) with WIP/FAR and amortization in the Peoplesoft balance sheet, including future WIP.
• Identify and resolve gaps in account codes and cost centre bookings between the IT monthly file and the finance systems (Peoplesoft and TM1).
• Review CAPEX, OPEX, and asset useful life to ensure compliance with USGAAP and company policies.
• Track progress toward achieving top-down stretch targets.

Asset capitalization

• Assist with the approval process for quarterly WIP to FAR transitions.
• Keep track the WIP to FAR reflected in finance book after approval

5YSP and annual planning

• Participate in the planning process to ensure top-down targets from corporate and management are reflected in submissions; analyse gaps to stretch targets and understand underlying reasons.
• Identify and implement process improvements for IT financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Prepare the deliverables required by corporate finance team for 5YSP submission
• Handle any ad hoc tasks related to tech finance reporting.

CBA review

• Review the CBA according to the review checklist
• Provide feedback and update the checklist summary for each CBA

Skill Sets Required

·       Technical/Systems Skills:

o   Proficiency in Peoplesoft and TM1 (or similar ERP/finance systems)

o   Sensitive to figures and advanced Excel/AI skills (including reconciliation, variance analysis, and reporting)

·       Finance & Accounting Knowledge:

o   Working knowledge of USGAAP and internal control requirements

o   Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

·       Analytical & Reporting Skills:

o   Strong attention to detail for reconciliations and variance analysis

o   Ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements

o   Experience preparing management reports and dashboards

·       Communication & Coordination:

o   Effective communication skills for liaising with regional/local teams and management

o   Ability to document processes and findings clearly

o   Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams

·       Other:

o   Problem-solving mindset for resolving discrepancies and process issues

·       Language:

o   Fluet in English, Cantonese (advantages)

·       Education and Professional Background:

o   Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline

o   Certified Account is preferred
