To manage strategic sourcing activities for Rubbers & Rubber Chemicals.

Responsibilities:

Conduct and present market analysis on rubber and rubber chemical suppliers in Asia.
Able to prepare alternative grades & suppliers along with commercial comparisons to evaluate and shortlist suppliers.
Assist corporate procurement organization from Asia for all Techno-commercial related activities.
Negotiate and execute purchase contracts with suppliers for both short and long term.
Develop supplier-specific strategy based on technical and commercial credentials.
Identify & Drive Localization project for Asia plants.
Conduct supplier assessments, quality audits, and compliance reviews on-site at factories.
Identify cost-saving projects and ideas in Rubber & Rubber chemicals from Asia.
Manage suppliers during delivery and quality crises.
Establish pricing and indexing mechanisms as needed.
Provide procurement teams with updates on regional and supplier market dynamics.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor in Rubber Technology.
10 years of working experience in purchasing with the above-mentioned expectations.
Extensive experience working with the rubber and rubber chemicals markets and suppliers (particularly those in Asia).
Strong negotiation skill.
Experience in market analysis, cost analysis.
Good communication (fluent in English & Chinese)
Sound knowledge on MS office & Power points.
Good interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with people from various regions.
