You\u2019ll develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Navigating a highly visible and dynamic environment, your strategic expertise in implementing initiatives will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam\u0027s reliability and competitive edge.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\nJob Responsibilities \n\nThis position is an individual contributor that plays a vital role as the Strategic Commodity Manager for Power Boxes, within the Build to Print Fabrication space. The self-motived candidate will plan, organize and control business/contracts/negotiations for strategic acquisition of materials and services of technical or commercial nature within Global Supply Chain. This Strategic Commodity Manager will be responsible for driving supplier contract management, conducting supplier negotiations, analytically formulating and executing comprehensive supplier management strategies based on semiconductor technology landscapes and global business environments.\n\n * Facilitate most supplier Global Agreement negotiations, renegotiations, and contract addendums. Negotiate performance-based supplier agreements, to provide incentive for continuous supplier improvement. Advise commodity team leader on strategic plans.\n * Represent strategic commodity management in cross-functional strategic commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges and ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Work cross-functionally with product, manufacturing and quality engineers as well as procurement, finance, and product group support.\n * Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; then drive team to address and close gaps to meet objectives.\n * Regularly evaluate cost and quality performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the supply base selection.\n * Develop and apply strategic commodity plans to define a supplier base for the Power Box commodity.\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Minimum Education: BA/BS/MS degree in Business or a technical field listed herein (but not limited to) the following: Global Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.\n * Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Supply Chain, Operations, or production/planning environment.\n * Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution.\n * Exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.\n * Business and technical background with an understanding of complex build-to-print integrated assemblies.\n * Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including executives\n * Previous project management experience and knowledge of basic project management concepts.\n * Experience in supplier selection/audit/qualification, capacity planning, cost reduction approaches, and lead-time reduction.\n\n\n\n## Our commitment\n\n \n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
