Job Descriptions:

1. Design, implement, and review the curriculum for your subject area, aligned with Cambridge Primary Curriculum and school's educational objectives.
2. To lead the development schemes of work, unit plan and learning and teaching strategies in the department. 
3. Provide guidance and support to teachers in delivering effective instruction, incorporating best practices, differentiation, and assessment strategies through observation, work scrutiny, collaborative lesson plan, department meetings etc
4. Stay abreast of current educational trends, research, and best practices within your subject area, integrating innovative approaches into teaching and learning.
5. Identify and manage resources needed for your department, including books, equipment, materials, teaching aids and technology to support effective teaching and learning in your subject area.
6.  Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress and inform instructional decision-making, including formative and summative assessments.
7. Analyze student data and assessment results to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted interventions to support student achievement.
8. Contribute to the school’s staff development programme for further training and professional development. 
9.  To create a positive environment for building good interpersonal relationships, teamwork and bonding between teachers within your  department for the mutual spirit of support, respect and learning among teachers.
10. To coach and guide  teachers within your department, especially teachers who require help to settle into the new school environment.
11. To monitor and evaluate the performance of the department members in line with the agreed school appraisal system including evaluation against quality standards and performance criteria.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Education of Related Subject or equivalent
2. Working Experiences: A Minimum 2 years experience in providing leadership in a similar role
3. Well-versed in the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
4. Strong leadership and communication skills
5. Approachable and able to maintain good relationships with students and colleagues
