Supervisor - Lifting

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the set-up, maintenance and safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment. He/She is responsible for co-ordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on the job site.

· Ensure all lifting equipment is certified, inspected, and suitable for the intended task.

· Prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.

· Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings with lifting teams.

· Monitor lifting crew (crane operators, riggers, and signalmen) to ensure safe practices.

· Ensure all lifting activities comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., LOLER, OSHA).

· Identify and mitigate potential hazards before and during lifting operations.

· Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors regarding lifting needs and schedules.

· Maintain accurate documentation related to lifting operations and equipment.

· Report and investigate incidents or near-misses involving lifting activities.
