Supply Chain Assistant Manager (Food Manufacturing)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) in overseeing procurement and warehousing functions to enhance overall productivity.
  

• Help lead, guide, and develop the supply chain team to ensure performance targets are achieved.
  

• Possess knowledge of commodity materials and assist in sourcing both direct and indirect materials.
  

• Ensure purchase orders (POs) are issued in line with company policies and guidelines.
  

• Facilitate effective cross-department communication and resolve any internal or interdepartmental conflicts.
  

• Partner with R&D for new material sourcing and approvals, and collaborate with the Quality team for new supplier and material validation.
  

• Oversee accurate raw material receiving and issuing processes, ensuring proper documentation and methodology.
  

• Work with the Indirect Buyer to manage external warehouse operations and ensure SAP inventory accuracy.
  

• Ensure end-of-month inventory counts match between physical stock and SAP records.
  

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards, and enforce FEFO/FIFO inventory practices.
  

• Ensure timely follow-up and compliance with food safety audit requirements.
  

Requirements

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, or Science.
  

• Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
  

• Language Proficiency: Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
  

• Personal Competencies: Strong negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
