Sustainability Engineer I - Leading Industry Pay

This person has been assigned to assist the EHS Manager in coordinating, organizing, and executing sustainability initiatives to ensure the organization achieves its goal of carbon reduction and zero waste. This would require involvement in terms of planning, executing, checking, analyzing, and improving daily action to achieve compliance.

• Perform monthly reporting of sustainability data related to waste and energy via the Credit 360 platform.

• Collect, analyze, and study sustainability data for MMSB improvements, including Plant 1, Plant 2, External Warehouse, and Dormitory.

• Work closely with engineering team on connectivity project to obtain reliable data for GHG and zero waste reporting.

• Work closely with interested parties to achieve zero waste certification for MMSB.

• Conduct waste collectors’ audits to qualify waste collectors aligned with the zero waste certification goal.

• Conduct quarterly dumpster dive together with production teams to audit and identify opportunity for improvements.

• Execute sustainability and energy reduction initiatives together with MMSB team

• Develop mechanisms to enhance awareness among the workers regarding sustainability, reducing carbon footprints, and zero waste.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in executive sustainability and carbon development projects.
• Familiar with sustainability/ESG reporting framework and standards.
• Knowledge in emerging sustainability and carbon market trends / standards/ policies.
• Knowledge in carbon accounting and GHG Protocol.
• Knowledge in lifecycle assessment.
• Knowledge in Science Based Target Settings.
• Knowledge of climate-related risks, opportunities, and resiliency assessment.
• Knowledge of nature-based solutions.
• Knowledge in carbon credit project development.
• Knowledge in Energy Sector.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Confidence to engage with different external clients, agencies and partners.
• Attention to detail with good presentation, analytical and writing skills.
