Syariah Compliance Executive - Rewarding Work

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough Shariah reviews of all Company products, contracts, and operational procedures.
• Provide ongoing Shariah guidance and advice to business units, ensuring their activities comply with Shariah principles and rulings. 
• Liaise with the Shariah Board, attending meetings and presenting proposed products, transactions, and policies for their review and approval.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of all Shariah compliance activities, including reports and resolutions.
• Conduct Shariah compliance training for staff across the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of Islamic principles.
• Stay abreast of developments in Islamic jurisprudence and financial regulations, ensuring compliance with evolving industry standards.
• Identify and address potential Shariah compliance risks, proposing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Identify, assess, review, and monitor the compliance of business operations and activities with Shariah.
• Any other tasks that maybe assigned to you by your superior.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Shariah (Islamic Law) or Islamic Studies with a specialization in Fiqh Muamalat (Islamic commercial law).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Shariah compliance within the Takaful or Islamic banking industry.
• Proven understanding of Shariah principles and their application to modern financial products and transactions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex Shariah rulings and apply them to practical situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate Shariah concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized with a strong work ethic.
