Systems Engineer 

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Linux and Windows system environment.
• Responsible for the Installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Maintain documentation on IT inventory, build configuration, procedures, policies, and enforcement of policies.
• Oversee the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability in compliance with company and End User requirements.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential issues, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to fix it.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs.
• To work under minimum supervision and has a sense of urgency in responding to system problems and service commitments.
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer.
• Standby support is required, including Public Holidays & after office hours.

Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology. Majors: computer system and cyber security, system administration, network design and management, cloud computing.
• Possess hands-on implementation experience in servers’ and appliance related projects that involve web, database servers, network appliances, and storage. 
• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
• Experienced in Windows and/or Linux platform and networking (LAN & WAN).
• Exhibit good skills in Power Shell, Regular expression (Regex) and other scripting language.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve system, server, and network issues.
• Ability to initiate corrective and proactive actions to minimize system and server outages.
• Work Independently with minimum supervision.
• Candidate should be Malaysian citizen, age below 35 years old.
