Systems Engineer (RM6,000 for Top Graduate) - Positive Work Culture

iFAST is seeking for an experienced, technical and enthusiastic Systems Engineer. Systems Engineers are required to establish business needs, challenges and opportunities within the current systems / infrastructure and future needs and direction of iFAST.

Job Description:

• To manage in-house infrastructure (both system & network) and ensure they meet our business expectations in terms of uptime and performance
• To prioritize infrastructure uptime and constantly work towards minimizing alerts and downtime
• To incorporate various types of automation to optimize IT Infrastructure processes where applicable
• To manage and maintain system monitoring
• To work closely with regional Network/Database team on regional connectivity and infrastructure management
• To work with Developers on understanding application behavior, project requirement gathering and attending to IT request tickets
• To coordinate and handle application urgent and scheduled deployment with Developers
• To coordinate and assist in infrastructure deployment with the regional IT Infrastructure and Security team
• To participate in daily live support routine (rotation among team members)

Technical Experience:

• Operating Systems (Windows and Linux)
• Virtualization (VMware & HyperV)
• Scripting and automation (Ansible & bash shell script)
• Application and Middleware Management
• Oracle & MS SQL

Additional Advantages:

• Project management
• Firewall/Load Balancer knowledge
• Experience in basic Cisco and Juniper switches devices/CLI
• Experience in SAN Storage management and/or Hyper Converge Infrastructure (HCI)

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in IT
• Strong communication and soft skills
• Strong power of analytical reasoning and a high level of initiative
• Having a high degree of integrity at work
• Adaptive to different situations; attentive and proactive to issues; team-oriented person
