Tax Executive

The Tax Executive will be responsible to handle the tax matters of our Malaysia group of companies and to ensure strict compliance with the local tax laws. The ideal candidate will be a team player, proficient in collaborating with accounting teams to efficiently accomplish required tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare yearly income tax computations and submit tax returns, tax estimate, for Malaysia group of companies and to ensure related function activities process accurately and timely in accordance with established processes in compliance with the tax regulations.
• Manage and maintain Malaysia Group of companies' tax database
• Liaise with tax department, other departments, etc to attend queries and ensure timely resolution. Escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner. 
• Compute for deferred tax, disclosure note for Malaysia group of companies
• Evaluate and apply for tax incentives on qualifying projects of the Malaysia group of companies.
• Support with the development and implementation of tax strategy.
• Liaise with tax consultants and tax Authority professionally on all tax correspondences and tax audits
• Update Management and relevant departments on the latest tax regime which affects the group for tax efficiency purposes.
• Perform such other tasks as required by superior. 

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting/ Finance or professional accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA or CPA).
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in related field
• Proven experience in handling tax matters for multinational companies, with a focus on Malaysia tax laws and regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Based in Sunway Office, occasional travelling to Penang office may be required.
