Position Title: Technical Support Engineer (Malaysia)
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Manage tendering aspects of a large scale, complex, or significant engineering project, to ensure correct estimation for schedule and budget
- Receive customers enquiry for bidding, prepare RIF (Request for information) & sketches and communicate with engineering / estimation department to get it priced.
- Studying the project documents including drawings, specifications, BOQ (Bill of Quantity), RFI (Request for information), correspondence and others for consideration during the project execution.
- Review, clarify and amend the drawings/plan provided by customers or consultants
- Liaise with customers about requirements if clarification is needed
- Prepare the offer and follow up technical issues with customers or consultants
- Coordinate the approval of drawings and responsible for the distribution of drawings released for construction to concerned site personnel
- Responsible for setting up the site implementation to ensure compliance to the Company’s safety, quality and environmental standards
- Manage the filing system for all kind of documentation preparation of relevant documentation related to projects
Relevant Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying (QS) or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of work experience as Technical Support Engineer or Proposal Engineer in structural steel buildings, construction industry or in engineering applications (Design / Construction)
- Exposure to Sales activities and meeting customers
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team
- Proactive and Self-motivated, responsible, and strong integrity and good interpersonal skill
- Able to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity
- Proficient in MS Office, AUTOCAD, Project Scheduling software and design software like STAAD
- Good command of spoken & written English
