TESOL/ESL Teacher (International School)

• Instruction and Curriculum Development:
  • Design and deliver effective English language lessons tailored to students at varying levels of proficiency.
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum and instructional materials that meet school standards and student needs.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance language learning.
• Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their language learning goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respect among students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to a cohesive teaching community.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Cultural Sensitivity and Adaptation:
  • Foster an understanding and appreciation of different cultures within the classroom.
  • Utilize knowledge of Mandarin to support students who are native Mandarin speakers in their English language acquisition.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, ESL, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• TESOL/TEFL certification or equivalent.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an ESL/EFL context, preferably in an international school setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to different cultural contexts and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
