Penerangan Pekerjaan - Upper Elementary Homeroom Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instructional Planning and Delivery:
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.
    • Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.
  2. Classroom Management:
    • Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote respect, responsibility, and a sense of community.
  3. Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Assess students' progress regularly through formative and summative assessments.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievements.
  4. Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators regarding student progress and school initiatives.
    • Participate in school meetings, professional development sessions, and collaborative planning.
    • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
  5. Student Support and Well-being:
    • Monitor and support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students.
    • Implement strategies to support diverse learners, including those with special needs.
    • Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  6. Extracurricular Involvement:
    • Participate in school-wide activities and events.
    • Encourage and facilitate student participation in extracurricular activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Native English speaker.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or licensure appropriate for the grade levels being taught.
  • Professional Qualification in Teaching such as PGCE or related teaching courses (minimum 6-12 months in such courses)
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the elementary level.
  • Strong understanding of child development and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
