Job Description

• Provide technical assistance and advice on product application in accordance with product characteristic and application standard


• Prepare adequate knowledge on the products and align with customer’s expectation


• Supporting on sales team activities.


• Initiate and promote the selling of services


• Provide services to meet the Coatings, Engineering and Service activities


• To assist Supervisor at a local country level


• To monitor surface preparation/coating application on site ensuring that they conform to the agreed specifications.


• Represent company in technical matters when dealing with customer at site/yard.


• Utilise the technical knowledge to assess painting application, coating faillure analysis, inspection, testing and provide the required reports.


• Provide technical information and advice related to product characteristic and product performance.


• To liaise with the various departments within the company to ensure on time paint deliveries/returns/orders for projects and drydock vessels.


• Trouble shooting at sites and submit global complaint related to quality, safety, delivery and handling the products as required.


• Fully understand safety knowledge and implement the safety behaviour according to Akzonobel values.


• To collect information on competitors’ product information/activities/market share as well as other information required from time to time.


• Carry out Interplan and submit relevant reports.


• Project stock control/management at sites.


• Provide the monthly report and other paperwork.

Job Description

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Chemical/ Chemistry 


• Able to communicate in English


• Minimum NACE Coating Inspector Program level 1 certification or equivalent


• Computer literate


• Communication and selling skills


• Minimum 3 - 5 years in the coating industry


• Role will be based in Terengganu
