We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of
Vice President, Global Banking - Government Linked Corporates (GLC).

Role Purpose

Global Relationship Managers of a portfolio of government linked corporate relationships with the aim of achieving maximum return to the Bank (globally as a whole) whilst providing top class customer service and maintaining sound credit quality and complying with both internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.

Principal Responsibilities :

• To maximize the revenues of customer portfolio and increase the Bank's share of customers wallets.
• To maintain a high level of credit quality in the jobholder's customer portfolio and to mitigate the hidden risks of the evolving GB (Global Banking) products.
• To build effective customer relationships and to become the customers' preferred financial partner and trusted advisor.
• To coordinate the CST to ensure the clients' needs are covered in a proactive and efficient manner.
• To maximise the effectiveness of subordinates and provide guidance to his/her career development.
• To support the Managing Director in operational and strategic issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 to 8 years of corporate/commercial banking experience
• Ability to gain substantial business for the Group across a full range of products.
• Ability to build & develop long term relationships including at key decision maker level for all clients
• Portfolio management skills.
• Working knowledge of HSBC Group and products, and the ability to build a strong network of contacts across all business areas and internal stakeholders
• Ability to proactively develop and originate client solutions.
• Strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation.
