Warehouse Supervisor - Hiring Urgently

Location : Demak Laut, Kuching, Sarawak

Working hours : Monday to Saturday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility. You will ensure efficient and effective management of inventory, supervise warehouse staff, and maintain a safe working environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organizing and overseeing a brief meeting every morning before the start of work, with the purpose of planning and monitoring daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound activities and inventory management.
• One of the key responsibilities of a supervisor is to regularly communicate with management, providing updates on team performance, project status, and any potential issues or concerns.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Develop, implement, monitor and improve standard operating procedures to ensure that warehouse and inventories are operating at peak efficiency.
• Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with warehouse management system and keep it up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
• Oversee the receiving, storing and dispatching of goods to ensure accurate inventory management and efficiency in all processes.
• Strategically enhance physical condition of warehouses by planning and implementing new design layouts to fully utilized the storage space and to plan future capacity requirements.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operation.
• Implement security measures, preventive controls, and protocols to mitigate the risk of missing, stolen, or misplaced goods within the warehouse.
• Performing cycle counting as required by company guidelines and procedure.
• To carry out others duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
• Punctuality is important, please be on time for all duties and when reporting to work on a daily basis.
• skilled in conflict resolution, addressing and resolving any conflicts or disputes that may arise within the team.
• Able to lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic, while also inspiring and motivating their team members to perform at their best.
• Interests in learning the new system and upscaling skills to adapt to the latest technology.

Qualifications and skills:

• A minimum of a diploma in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field is required. Candidates without the specified qualifications but with substantial practical experience in warehousing and inventory management will also be considered.
• Good communication skills in English and Malay, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge or working experience using SAP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in using computer software (MS Office) and systems for data management and reporting.
• Familiarity with operating a forklift is necessary.
• Possess valid driving license and own transport.
• Proven experience in QC or Food handling within the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Shows strong understanding of Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
