Luxury title Prestige Malaysia (BurdaLuxury Kuala Lumpur) is currently looking for a Senior Writer to join its editorial team to oversee day-to-day print and digital operations, plan editorial content with the team, write articles that would appeal to its audience, and represent the brand at reviews, launches, and interviews. You are also expected to perform other duties that are within the job scope of a member of the Prestige editorial team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing, editing, proofreading, and styling.
• Excellent command in English
• Interviewing sources and verifying information.
• Attending relevant events, fairs, and conferences
• Creating and maintaining a network of contacts
• Meeting and collaborating with other staff, including designers, sales, events, marketing, etc., as well as industry peers and contributors such as photographers, videographers, stylists, make-up artists, hair stylists, etc.

• Specialised knowledge in the luxury fields covered by Prestige – People, Watches, Jewellery, Arts & Culture, F&B, and other luxury lifestyle areas
• Ability to multitask to support coverage on print, digital & social media touchpoints.
• Confidence to coordinate photoshoots and existing styling skills are a plus.
• Creativity and vision to ideate and execute client-based projects, including but not limited to: advertorials, video content (Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories), and social media assets, on tight turnaround schedules.
• Complying with industry and ethical guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong English language skills. Excellent writing and communication are expected.
• Diploma/Degree in any field of Mass Communications or relevant fields are welcome to apply.
• Interest in the topics of lifestyle news, people, luxury brands, fashion, ETC.
• Excellent time management and willingness to meet deadlines
• Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in the related field.
• Proficiency in social media content creation tools, including but not limited to: CapCut ,InShot, and Meta Business Suite.
