We're looking for a Xero Accountant on behalf of on behalf of a Sydney-based client that provides professional business services, helping clients achieve growth through financial expertise and strategic advisory. This role involves working with larger clients, complex business structures, and high-net-worth individuals, delivering accounting, tax, and advisory services while also supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Services
· Manage and maintain clients financial records using Xero accounting software.
· Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
· Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Provide expert advice on tax planning, compliance, and best practices.
· Collaborate closely with clients to resolve financial matters and support their business growth.
2. Team Leadership and Development
· Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery and knowledge sharing.
· Support team members by sharing insights on Xero features and accounting standards.
· Contribute to improving workflows and client servicing through internal discussions and teamwork.
3. Firm Support and Development
· Stay updated on developments in Xero software and accounting regulations.
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and value through automation and best practices.
· Consistently deliver high-quality work to uphold the firms standards and contribute to its growth.
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
· Proven experience working with Xero accounting software.
· Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a client servicing role.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
· Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and client satisfaction.
