Category Management Executive

Job Overview

Category Management Executive is a strategic role that work directly with Sales, , as well as key customers, with the objective of driving profitable and sustainable category growth through:

• Support and Sales teams in understanding category, shopper trends and customers, and building compelling selling stories.
• Build strong partnership with key customers by providing value added insights to grow our mutual business.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and synthesize available data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights, and convey the message through clear visualization to drive category growth.
• Keep the team updated with the latest market trends (FMCG, NARTD), shopper behaviors with available internal and external data.
• Enable the use of scan data for internal stakeholders by improving the accessibility and upskilling the stakeholders.
• Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders (Sales, customers, ). Be the 'sparring partner' of the Sales team for internal reviews, for selling stories.
• Support Sales team on JBPs with clear insights.
• Work with key customers on category reviews, which includes assortment review, merchandising/space planning recommendations and be the trusted partner to drive mutual category growth.
• Work closely with key vendors to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

• Ideally 2-3 years working experience in category management, insights, trade marketing and sales.
• Able to translate data into insights and articulate it in a relevant way to key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Experience in space management software is preferred. Good working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Capable of grasping external and internal data, e.g. Nielsen retail audit, Kantar shopper panel, Mailer Tracker.
• Able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
• Commercial savvy, with a strategic approach to drive profitable category growth.
• Relentlessly seeks, shares, and adopts ideas and best practices in and outside the Company and embraces change introduced by others.
