Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara- will mark the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont’ Kiara, an affluent suburb located five kilometers from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in late 2017, the hotel will be part of a larger mixed-use development, Arcoris Mont’ Kiara, which will feature business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and a retail plaza. At Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, we believe that being away from home doesn’t mean giving up the life you live. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and be responsible for the Engineering and Safety & Security department.
2. Maintain all equipment, systems, and building components.
3. Be the liaison between facility and service contractors for on-property needs.
4. Conduct monthly safety inspections and train the staff on safety and emergency procedures.
5. Work with vendors and corporate maintenance on special projects.
6. Be the primary manager available at unique times of day to handle unexpected emergencies and property malfunctions.

Qualifications:

1. Demonstrate a passion and proven results for coaching and leading hotel team members.
2. Previous hotel experience with properties having over 230 rooms.
3. Previous hotel pre-opening experience in engineering and building operations.
4. Possess a Degree or Diploma in Engineering studies or technical disciplines.
5. Minimum of 5 years or more work experience in a senior role within an international chain hotel engineering department.
6. Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
7. Demonstrate ability to manage and lead hotel on-site engineering functions.
8. Thorough knowledge of mechanical equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and building construction.
9. Strong working knowledge and experience with hotel security systems.
