Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the implementation, managing and coordinating the Finance and Accounts function of the Group of Companies as well as compliance with the statutory requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall financial and accounting functions of the Group
  • Prepare monthly financial management reports and accounts promptly
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow, working capital and treasury functions
  • Oversee the daily financial operations, budgeting, and taxation functions Examine and improve areas of internal controls and ensure proper maintenance of financial records
  • Plan, organize, lead and motivate team members in the Finance Department Undertake specific assignments as instructed from time to time
  • Analyze and interpret operational and accounting data as to explain variations and trends in relation to previous periods, budgets and forecasts (profit variance analysis, contribution margin analysis)
  • Prepare annual budget forecast and periodic review
  • Work with individuals from all functional areas in preparing, analyzing and communicating information to provide relevant, accurate, timely information that will be helpful to the management for decision-making
  • Review monthly management accounts, balance sheet schedules and key performance indicators
  • Review and ensure financial statements are prepared according to accounting standards Liaise with auditors in respect of audits, compliance and risk management issues
  • Responsible for year-end closing and liaison with external auditors for annual financial audit
  • Liaising with external auditors and tax agent to ensure compliance with statutory audit / tax requirements
  • Tax estimates and tax submission to the Inland Revenue Authority
  • Review and ensure tax schedules are completed on time for tax agent

Qualification & Experience

  • Professional Accountancy Qualification. A member of ACCA , CIMA and with MIA membership
  • Preferably those with experience in retail, hotel and property investment Minimum 10 years working experience in the similar position is required for this role.
  • Candidate should also possess at least 3-5 years external audit experience
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Finance (General/Cost Accounting) or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong business acumen with good technical knowledge Pro-active, detail-oriented, committed enthusiastic and self-driven with high level of integrity
  • Those who are able to start work in a short notice. 
  • Able to start immediately would be an advantage
