Job Description

1. Plan, implement and manage overall hotel daily operations.

2. Plan and organise accommodation, catering and other hotel services.

3. Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel’s services.

4. Manage budgets and financial plans and control expenditure.

5. Set and achieve sales and profit targets.

6. Analyse sales figures and devise market and revenue management strategies.

7. Recruit, train and monitor staff.

8. Supervise work at all levels (receptionists, housekeeping, admin employees etc.) and set clear objectives

9. Build and maintain strong relationships with visitors and clients including dealing with customer complaints and comments.

10.Monitor employee performance and conduct regular evaluations to help improve customer service.

11.Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.

12.Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners etc.

13.Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.

14.Partake in financial activities including establishing room rates, setting budgets and assigning funds to departments.

Job Requirements:

1. Proven experience as Hotel Manager or relevant role.

2. Fluency in English, Malay and Mandarin; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

3. Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines.

4. Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset.

5. Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.

6. Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

7. Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail.

8. Demonstrating a true entrepreneurial spirit, coupled with an unwavering passion and enthusiasm for the dynamic field of hotel management
