Job Title: MYSGCMI Lead
Location: Malaysia
About the role
This role is a country-based role with full responsibility for Market Insight for Malaysia and Singapore across Business units of Beauty and Wellbeing, Ice cream, Homecare and Nutrition. The focus and key delivery is to use continuous data to develop insights and ultimately land transformational action. Underpinning this is the responsibility to ensure good quality, timely data is made available for that country through self-serve systems and regular reporting.
The CMI Lead will also be responsible for insight development, delivery and business partnering the Customer Development team on channel / retailer level insights and action planning, working closely with agency partners to enable this.
Responsibilities
Identifying Country/Cross-Category / Channel Growth Insights & Opportunities which lead to Transformational Actions
Building Business Capability in the use, understanding and leverage of continuous data for business benefit
Leading management and delivery of Business performance reporting
Building Strong Foundations with Data & Systems
Leading Continuous Data Agency Partner relationships
Primary Interfaces
Agency Partners (primarily retail panel, consumer panel and consumer tracking agencies)
Cross BU CMI teams, People Data Centres (PDC)
Marketing / CD Business partners
Local Leadership teams across B&W, Ice cream, Nutrition, Homecare and Customer Development
Reporting into MI Manager for the region
Skills and Experience
Think strategically - ability to design, develop and land country and cross-category level work
A positive attitude and can-do outlook to keep the agency teams motivated and inspired to work with the team.
Develop work which is fact-based rather than fact-filled, focusing on recommendations and outcomes
Strong communication skills both written and verbal are needed to work with different functions and land insights and messages in a compelling way.
Ability to build capabilities of CMI & Business Partners, particularly through adoption of new 'self serve' systems
Experience of working with continuous research data - retail tracking, consumer panel and tracking data is essential.
