Executive - Sustainable Procurement

The Role

You will be supporting the team in the delivery and development of industry-related sustainability strategies for the Group.

Below is a synopsis of your job function:

• Collaborate with suppliers based in China and other countries to establish ESG and GHG-related data analytics, modeling and reporting.
• Monitor and track sustainability-related performance indicators to related stakeholders.
• Collate and use data to Identify issues, to propose solutions, and to support decision-making.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices and emerging sustainability standards to identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Coordinates audits and assessments to ensure compliance with sustainability certifications and regulations.
• Assist in research and analytics on topics related to ESG and GHG-related certifications.
• Develop and implement the Company’s sustainability policies and initiatives for the supply chains.

Besides dealing with the challenges that come along with this portfolio, you will also experience and contribute to our dynamic working culture. Your responsibilities will require you to communicate extensively with various stakeholders from both internally within the Company or group of companies and externally with our business partners.

Requirements:

Background:

• Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Sustainability or equivalent from recognised universities.

Experience:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in sourcing and negotiating with suppliers from China.
• 1 - 2 years of relevant working experience in ESG and/or GHG-related portfolios will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skill:

• Excellent time management and organisation skills, meticulous and delivers quality work.

Personal trait:

• Able to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging yet fun environment.
• A highly motivated individual who is willing to take initiatives and follow up with details.
• A good team player and communicator.
• Good presentation skills and able to communicate with all levels.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Candidates with proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin will have an added advantage.
