A Finance Manager job has become available at a company in property development industry based in Seremban. What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. You will be entrusted with establishing robust financial procedures that align with the company’s ambitious growth plans. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing financial statements, planning cash flows, reporting on financial performances, leading budgeting processes, and improving operational procedures. Your ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders will enable you to gain valuable insights into performance deliverables.

  • Establish and maintain financial & management procedures that support performance needs for business growth & expansion
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to statutory financial reporting process and tax statutory submission
  • Support the Group Accounts & Corporate Finance team in areas of Group Finance including consolidation, bursa announcement, board papers, audited financial statement, annual report & liaise with auditor, company secretary, tax agent etc.
  • Manage and monitor monthly and quarterly financial statement closing activities to ensure company meets submission deadlines
  • Monitor and plan cash flow position and prepare cash flow projections for property development projects
  • Report on actual financial performances against budget in comparison to previous years, rationalise and explain variances with facts and figures
  • Work closely with different stakeholders (both internal and external) so as to have good on-the-ground understanding and performance deliverables
  • Compute tax estimates and revise CP204 tax instalment accordingly based on minimising cash outflow at a minimal level, responsible for the tax computation prepared by the tax agent
  • Lead the entire budgeting process and present to the management for approval on a yearly basis
  • Initiate, set up and improve operational procedures and internal controls from time to time for optimum operational level

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Manager role brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational background in Accountancy. With at least 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably within the property or real estate industry, you have honed your skills in general and cost accounting. Your professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or other relevant qualifications further underscore your expertise.

  • Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Background from Property/ Real estate industry will be highly advantageous
  • Candidates with professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or other relevant certifications is an added advantage
