Java Backend Developer

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• features and improvements to the product in a secure, well-tested, and scalable manner.
• multiple small, medium complexity projects autonomously, from technical design to launch.
• new features, refactor existing code to be more scalable, and see changes through to completion in a live environment.
• operational support on multiple projects with a core role in providing expertise in statistics and data analysis.
• with cross functional teams to identify and solve complex problems and drive technical decisions.
• clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards.
• in code reviews, provide guidance to team members.
• up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.

Minimum Qualifications

• in Computer Science / Engineering.
• 1-2 year of relevant work experience (Java)
• Experience in finance/fintech/banking/ financial services industry would be an added advantage.

Technical Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of SDLC process, software design and development best practices.
• Knowledge of data security, application scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript.
• Knowledge of other server-side languages such as Golang would be an added advantage.
• Understanding of frontend technology and languages such as JavaScript, and VueJS.
• Knowledge of algorithm, data structures, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring, and NodeJS.
• Familiar with cloud computing such as AWS and on-premises solution.
