Java Full Stack Developer

The Malaysian Branch was established in 1995 and serves clients throughout Southeast Asia and other Asian territories. Our office transact all lines of Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) reinsurance business.

We are currently hiring a Java Full Stack Developer to join our IT Life & Health Product team in Information Technology IT department. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various engagements and internal initiatives that align with the Branch's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support our colleagues in the Life & Health reinsurance division on the path towards digitalization of their processes through the (further) development of our automated underwriting system hr | ReFlex.

• Conceptual design, development of new functionalities and maintenance of existing software system.
• Further development of the system and software architecture.
• Ability to deliver digital solutions with a high security standard.
• Implementing a DevOps structure on the basis of clouds and containers.
• Working on an agile Scrum team with internal and external colleagues in an international environment.
• Technical point of contact for product owners.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science / Business IT /and/or Technical / Commercial Qualification with further training as software developer.
• Minimum of 7 years of Professional experience, especially in the areas of Full Stack Java and Angular Software development and architecture.
• Knowledge of design pattern and clean code principles.
• Knowledge of the technologies Java, Spring and Angular Framework, Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, AWS Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Self-reliant, reliable and structured working approach.
• Highly detail-oriented and multitasking ability.
• Ability to adapt technically.
• Differ working hours to have some overlapping with Germany working hours .
