Manager - Data Management

KEY TASKS AND ACTIVITIES

a. Manage all aspects of data management, including data acquisition, integration, quality assurance, and governance, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.

b. Develop and implement data management and analysis strategies, policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets.

c. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to meet organization needs, drive innovation and achieve organization goals.

d. Manage relationships with external data partners and vendors to ensure timely and accurate data delivery and collaboration on data driven initiatives.

e. Lead the design and implementation of data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts, to support the organization's data needs.

f. Manage initiatives on data management with other agencies and national-level committee.

g. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.

h. Provide leadership and mentorship to the data management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

i. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports.

REQUIREMENTS (Minimum)

a. Bachelor's Degree in Economy, Statistics, Computer Science or appropriate field of study

b. 8 years' of working experience in data management/ research

c. Strong knowledge of data management principles, techniques, and best practices

d. Experience with data management and analysis tools and technologies, such as databases, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) data warehouse, statistical software and data governance frameworks. programming languages (e.g., Python, R)

e. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

f. Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

g. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and drive results.

h. Proficiency in report writing and presentation.

SKILLS (Technical knowledge and expertise)

a. Certification in relevant areas, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) is a plus.
