About You - Experience, Education, Skills, and Leadership Qualities:

• Education: A bachelor or master's degree in Life Sciences or a related field is essential, reflecting a deep understanding of the subject matter.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic publishing or bibliometrics, with a proven track record of leading projects and teams. Prior experience in managing content quality and integrity is crucial.
• Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in the Chinese language for complex editorial tasks is required.
• Expert knowledge of academic bibliographies, the publication process, and research methodologies in Life Sciences.
• Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, capable of leading efforts to identify and rectify inaccuracies in academic content.
• Leadership Qualities:
• Demonstrated success in academic editing, publishing, or related projects at a leadership level. Contributions to significant research or publishing projects that have advanced the field are highly regarded.

What will you be doing in this role

• Strategic Oversight of Academic Profile Reviews: Lead initiatives to enhance the accuracy and integrity of Chinese Researcher Profiles, implementing strategic reviews to ensure all information is precisely attributed to the correct individuals.
• Advanced Bibliographic Correction and Strategy Implementation: Spearhead the identification and correction of complex bibliographic errors, setting policies for handling incorrect authorship claims, publication details, and affiliations with a focus on bibliometrics.
• Leadership Collaboration with Global Teams: Provide senior-level guidance to collaborate with the parent content operations team in India, aligning on advanced practices, fostering knowledge sharing, and ensuring the highest quality standards across all profiles.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Management: Engage with key internal and external stakeholders at a senior level to facilitate strategic partnerships, clarify profile information, and drive the project's objectives forward.
• Driving Innovation in Academic Publishing: Lead the charge in staying ahead of the curve with the latest developments in academic publishing and bibliometrics, integrating innovative practices to continuously elevate the quality and relevance of researcher profiles.

About the Team

Joining our team as a Senior Content Editor place you at the heart of our ambitious project focused on enhancing the integrity and accuracy of Chinese Researcher Profiles within the Web of Science platform. Our team, an extension of the Content Operations division based in Penang, collaborates closely with over 30 dedicated professionals in India, contributing to a global effort to maintain the highest standards of academic data quality. Internally, we work alongside content editors, specialists, and content manager, while externally, our stakeholders include researchers, academic institutions, and publishing entities. With a project of significant scale, our team size is optimized for agility and effectiveness, allowing for a hands-on approach to problem-solving and innovation. While leveraging a comprehensive suite of tools and technologies tailored to bibliographic and data management, we also enjoy the support of local benefits and a work culture that emphasizes learning, collaboration, and excellence. Hours of Work
