Senior Data Architect

Your new company:

A market leading FinTech company with 43 clients across all of Malaysia, working with banks and financial institutions to provide an innovative and scalable online banking landscape.

Your new role:

• Data Strategy and Planning: collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and define data architecture standards aligned to the overarching data strategy.
• Data Modeling and Design: create a visual representation of the structure and organization of data within a system or database, implementing scalable and robust best practice data models that meet current and future business.
• Database Management: oversee the selection, implementation, management, optimization, and troubleshooting of database technologies.
• Data Pipeline Development:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines to move and transform data from various sources to destination systems.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the successful implementation of data integration solutions.

• Data Governance and Security: work with the data quality and governance team to establish policies and procedures overseeing data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What's required of you:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) as a Data Architect/Engineer, with a track record of successful data architecture design and implementation.
• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data management technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL, big data platforms).
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
