Senior Vice President, Technology

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Vice President of Technology to oversee our IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and QA Tester departments. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is crucial in shaping and executing the company's technical roadmap and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large technical teams and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Lead and provide strategic direction to the IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and QA Tester departments.

Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence within the technical teams.

Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and skills enhancement.

Technical Roadmap:

Develop and implement a comprehensive technical roadmap that supports the company's strategic goals.

Ensure the maintenance, scalability, and continuous improvement of in-house systems and their operations.

Oversee system integration and connections with external parties to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the Product and Project Management Office (PMO) to transform end-user requirements into new architecture designs and system developments.

Collaborate with various departments to manage software/system change requests, development, and bug fixing.

Ensure clear and effective communication of technical strategies, progress, and outcomes to the executive team and other stakeholders.

Data Security:

Ensure data security through various techniques, including encryption and masking.

Develop and implement robust policies and procedures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Stay updated on the latest security threats and compliance requirements to safeguard company data.

System Support and Optimization:

Provide comprehensive system support, including bug fixing, performance optimization, and high availability.

Ensure reliability and stability of all technical systems, minimizing downtime and enhancing user experience.

Implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies to anticipate and address potential issues.

IT Infrastructure Responsibilities:

Database Management:

Oversee database setup, configuration, and maintenance for new installations and existing systems.

Ensure high availability, replication, and performance optimization of databases.

Manage database access permissions and backup processes to ensure data security and recoverability.

Server Management:

Oversee new server installations, upgrades, and replacements for aging hardware.

Configure and maintain high availability setups to minimize server downtime.

Manage server permissions, resources, and backups to ensure efficient and secure operations.

Network Management:

Install, configure, and manage network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, WiFi controllers, and endpoints.

Ensure network security through firewall configurations, IP whitelisting, port forwarding, and antivirus measures.

Maintain network availability and performance, addressing any connectivity or security issues promptly.

QA Tester Responsibilities:

Automation and Testing Frameworks

Develop and maintain automation testing frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Perform stress testing and validate that development work meets user requirements.

Ensure thorough testing of all software to maintain high quality and performance standards.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve any issues promptly.

Ensure that all testing processes are documented and executed according to best practices.

Handle application abnormalities effectively to maintain smooth operations.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in a senior technical leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

Proven track record in managing large technical teams and complex projects.

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and quality assurance processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
