Tax and Treasury Manager

This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our corporate tax function, including direct tax, indirect tax, and tax advisory. Additionally, you will manage basic operational banking matters for the company.

Description

Responsibilities (80%):

• Tax:
  • Lead and manage the preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns (direct & indirect).
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in Malaysian tax laws and regulations, and ensure the company is compliant.
  • Identify and implement tax-saving strategies to minimize the company's tax burden.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Prepare tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.
  • Research and advise on potential tax implications of business decisions.
  • Represent the company before tax authorities during audits or inquiries.
• Provide tax advice and guidance to other departments within the company.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

Responsibilities (20%):

• Treasury:
  • Manage basic operational banking activities, including account reconciliations, payments, and collections.
  • Maintain positive relationships with banking institutions.
  • Ensure efficient cash flow management.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or ACCA qualification a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a corporate tax role.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian tax laws and regulations (direct & indirect).
• Experience with tax planning and advisory services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Offer

• Monthly salary of MYR 10,000 - MYR 12,000 based on experience
