Senior Data Analyst, Internal Audit

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Apply strategic thinking and computational methods to review key processes.
• Cultivate cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge by engaging with the Bank's business, products, and operations using extensive data analysis.
• Conduct data mapping and internal analytics to support data-driven audit reviews, continuously refining auditing methods.
• Develop scripts and programs to automate data extraction from diverse sources within the Bank, ensuring accurate and timely data acquisition.
• Create dashboards for real-time monitoring of key business processes, evaluating effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to performance metrics.
• Build predictive models to forecast trends or risks based on historical data patterns, aiding in proactive issue anticipation.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues promptly to maintain integrity and accuracy of audit findings.
• Contribute to the development of data-driven audit methodologies and techniques, including automation of repetitive audit procedures.
• Champion and uphold standards of excellence within the Internal Audit function in change management, documentation, and data protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support Internal Audit planning activities by analysing historical data, industry benchmarks, and regulatory requirements to prioritise high-risk audit areas.
• Collaborate with the Head, Business Audit to maintain and streamline audit processes within the GRC platform.
• Utilise data visualisation tools to present real-time audit findings, management action plans statuses effectively, facilitating in decision-making processes.
• Assist internal audit teams by conducting audit tests during periods of lower activity.

• Bachelor's Degree in Analytics / Data Science / Computer science / Information System / Business / Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of data analytics or audit experience.
• Strong understanding of data technologies, including databases, data warehousing and data analytics.
• Sound knowledge in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, or similar BI tools).
• Robust analytical mindset and exhibits a persistent drive for investigation and data exploration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous with high attention to detail.
• Ambitious, self-driven and highly motivated individual who can work well in a startup VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. Should have a deep desire to excel and develop a career in a fast-growing tech company. Should have demonstrated integrity and respect in the performance of duties.

The Nice-To-Haves

• Experience working in a digital bank or financial services industry.
