Role Snapshot

Join our dynamic Kuala Lumpur team as an Operations Intern at Human Inc. In this role, you will be supporting our Operations team where you learn how to deal with the day-to-day responsibilities of Business Planning, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources and how to help establish a strong foundation for a business to operate. You will play a pivotal support role in making a significant business impact and fostering the growth and development of our team.

Role and Responsibilities

During your internship duration, you will have the opportunity to rotate responsibilities amongst these four functional areas. You will be guided and supported by various managers throughout your internship.

1. Business Planning

  • Support in creating sales and delivery reporting that showcase data which will help the team to make informed decisions and improve business performance
  • Conduct research and analysis of prospective clients and assist in go-to-market strategy efforts
  • Support in the reporting of sales and revenue recognised in the form of dashboard reporting to management or when required by the business development team
  • Track the contracting progress of projects to ensure that we receive a signed contract from the client

2. Operations

  • Manage claims expenses and support in the payroll process including statutory reporting in a timely manner
  • Compile and compute team member’s timesheet data into a meaningful report
  • Assist team members in organizing internal and external events when needed

3. Finance

  • Prepare, organize, manage and maintain the necessary documents and financial records for bookkeeping & audit purposes.
  • Support bank administrative matters (including those related to corporate account/ trade facility/ credit card), facilities & processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and yearly financial reporting to the Management and a full set of accounts for Statutory Reporting
  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer concerning compiling information and any submission as required by the auditor, corporate secretary and related authority.

4. Human Resource

  • Maintain and update our HRIS database on employee information and changes to their personnel record
  • Perform and complete HR operational tasks and administrative duties in assigned areas such as, but not limited to, job postings, recruitment scheduling, candidate sourcing, and onboarding logistics
  • Support in coordination of external and internal engagement events such as career fairs, training sessions, office lunches, and monthly office events
  • Assist in data entry and data compilation for management to make informed decision regarding people matters

Relevant Background and Mindset

  • Candidates must possess or are currently pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, international business, management, finance, accounting, human resources, or equivalent. Other majors are welcome to apply.
  • Commitment for at least 3 months. Priority will be given to candidates who are able to commit for 4-6 months.
  • Final-year students and recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply (as there may be potential opportunities to convert to a full-time role)
  • Be fluent in English (written & spoken) and ideally another language (local or international)
  • Be able to communicate well, hold good discussions, and be strategic in your thinking
  • Be intellectually curious, be a proactive problem-solver, and have the ability to execute tasks well
  • Possess strong business acumen to be able to quickly grasp key business process and their impact
  • Possess strong attention to detail, and is also comfortable working with some levels of ambiguity
