Get to Know the Team

Grab Identity is a team to provide the critical authentication and authorization services for hundreds of millions grab passengers, drivers, merchants and partners. We are striving to protect that transactions and users on Grab platform to be secure and genuine.

Get to Know the Role

You will work with the engineering team in developing backend services. You will be provided with hands-on experience in backend system architecture and development, and to create scalable and efficient solutions.

This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will collaborate with teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• You will develop backend services and APIs that support our applications.
• You will participate in the architecture and design of backend systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and efficient.
• You will write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.
• You will help troubleshoot and debugging issues in existing backend services.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025.
• Your studies as an Undergraduate in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Golang, C++, C, C#, Java, Python, and willing to work on Golang.
• You have an ability to structure data and write algorithms.
• Knowledge in database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
