Role Purpose
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Retail Analytics & Engagement Intern to support retail performance analytics, reporting automation, customer engagement initiatives, and store activation programs. This role provides exposure to data analytics, business intelligence, retail operations, customer experience, and digital transformation. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate actionable insights, improve operational efficiency, and support initiatives that enhance customer engagement and retail performance across the retail network.
Principal Accountabilities
Support data quality and governance initiatives by performing data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and maintaining accurate retail performance data.
Develop and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support retail performance monitoring, customer engagement tracking, and management decision-making.
Analyse retail performance, footfall, and customer engagement data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business insights.
Support automation initiatives to streamline reporting processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce manual effort through digital tools and process enhancements.
Assist in planning and executing in-store engagement activities, customer activation campaigns, and retail initiatives to drive store visitation and enhance customer experience.
Monitor campaign effectiveness, analyse engagement and performance metrics, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities for retail innovation and experience enhancement.
Support retail transformation projects, stakeholder coordination, and the preparation of management reports, presentations, and business updates.
Skills & Knowledge
Passionate about data analytics, retail operations, customer experience, and digital transformation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Customer-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.
Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
