Penerangan Pekerjaan - Strength & Reconditioning Coach - Unlimited Growth Potential - Part-Time

We are in search of a reliable Strength & Reconditioning Coach to join our vibrant team at OnFit Strength & Conditioning in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Scope of Work

As a Part-Time Strength & Reconditioning Coach, you will be expected to carry out to the best of your abilities any legitimate work to help OnFit Strength & Conditioning to conduct business.

Scope of work includes following domains, but are not limited to,

  1. Training and Programming:
    1. Individualized Training Plans: Develop customized fitness and strength training programs tailored to each client's goals, fitness level, and any special considerations or limitations.
    2. Client Assessment: Conduct initial fitness assessments to evaluate clients' physical capabilities, including strength, endurance, flexibility, and mobility.
    3. Progress Monitoring: Continuously track and monitor clients' progress, adjusting training programs as needed to ensure they are on the path to achieving their goals.
    4. Instruction and Demonstrations: Teach proper exercise techniques and demonstrate exercises to ensure clients' safety and effectiveness in their workouts.
    5. Flexibility Training: Incorporate flexibility and mobility exercises into training plans to improve range of motion and reduce the risk of injury.
    6. Recovery Strategies: Educate clients on the importance of recovery, including rest days, stretching, and injury prevention techniques.
    7. Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of client progress, including fitness assessments, workout plans, and any modifications made over time.
  2. Nutrition for Sports, Fitness, Health, and Wellness:
    1. Nutritional Guidance: Provide basic nutrition advice and recommendations to complement clients' fitness goals.
    2. Medical Illness Understanding and Recommendation: Understand common medical conditions and provide tailored dietary recommendations, collaborating with healthcare professionals as needed.
    3. General Wellness Nutrition: Promote overall health with balanced nutrition, focusing on variety, portion control, mindful eating, and long-term healthy eating habits.
  3. Coaching, Communication, and Professionalism:
    1. Goal Setting: Help clients set realistic and achievable fitness goals, both short-term and long-term.
    2. Motivation and Support: Encourage and motivate clients to stay committed to their fitness routines, offering positive reinforcement and support.
    3. Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with clients to address questions, concerns, or changes to their schedules or fitness goals.
    4. Client Education: Educate clients on the principles of strength and conditioning, helping them understand the science behind their workouts.
    5. Professional Conduct: Uphold a high level of professionalism, including punctuality, appearance, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
    6. Continued Education: Stay updated on the latest fitness and strength training trends, techniques, and certifications to provide the best possible service to clients.
  4. Business and Studio Management:
    1. Safety Measures: Ensure the safety of clients during training sessions by supervising their workouts and providing guidance on equipment usage.
    2. Equipment Management: Ensure that fitness equipment is well-maintained and safe for use during training sessions.
    3. Equipment and Resources: Utilize available equipment, software, and resources for assessments, progress tracking, and communication with clients.
    4. Time Management: Efficiently manage training sessions to maximize client benefit within the allotted time frame.
    5. Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to respond to potential fitness-related emergencies and have a basic understanding of first aid.
    6. Legal and Liability Considerations: Adhere to legal and liability requirements as applicable to the coaching profession, including but not limited to insurance and legal regulations.
    7. Client Documentation: Maintain client records, including intake forms and waivers, to document clients' health conditions, goals, and any potential risks associated with their training.
    8. Client Database Management: Manage client records and data securely and in compliance with privacy regulations.
    9. Marketing and Promotion: If required, participate in marketing and promotional activities as outlined by OnFit Strength & Conditioning, including social media engagement and content creation.
    10. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other fitness professionals or staff members as needed to ensure the smooth operation of training sessions and client management.
    11. Performance Reviews: Participate in performance reviews, including discussions on frequency, criteria, and potential compensation adjustments based on performance.
  5. Customers Service Satisfaction and Management:
    1. Client Registration: Manage and oversee the client registration process, including the collection of personal information, health history, fitness goals, and preferences, ensuring all client data is securely and confidentially maintained.
    2. Client Retention: Work on strategies to retain clients and build long-term relationships, possibly through referral programs or incentives.
    3. Client Termination and Refunds: Follow the specified process for client termination, including any applicable refund policies.
    4. Feedback and Improvement: Be open to feedback from clients and use it to continually improve your coaching techniques and effectiveness.
