Temporary Physics Teacher is required to commence in May-June 2024. We are seeking suitably qualified teachers who can teach Physics lessons up at to KS4. The ability to teach other Science subjects at IGCSE and KS3 is desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare programs of study, schemes of work, and lesson plans as required for the subject.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and projects in the school. This may include display work to enhance the school environment and/or engaging with students in activities, which may be outside of the teacher's own subject area.
- Teach with consistent effectiveness in classes, taking full account of all students’ individual educational needs and their holistic development.
- Making full use of ICT and new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
- Promote the intellectual, moral, cultural, physical and personal abilities and aptitudes of the students in their classes and provide guidance and advice to students on educational and relevant social and other matters.
- Support school activities and functions, occurring during or outside of school hours.
- Participate in meetings which relate to curriculum matters, administration or for organisation of the school, including elements relating to student guidance.
- Carry out particular professional duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Principal and or Head of Secondary School.
- Teach with consistent effectiveness co-curricular classes, taking full account of all students and their individual needs and holistic development.
- Be proactive in own professional development, reflecting on teaching practice and continue to learn how to improve, keeping upskilled with best practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas and resources to ensure best practice is maintained.
Job Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in related field.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Education (PGDE/PGCE) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of teaching experience in a school environment.
- Most recent work experience with an international school is preferred.
