About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced instructional designer to design and develop instructional material for training that supports our company technical products. Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. Can independently develop entry and advanced level courses for both technical and functional end users. Able to utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools. Acts as liaison between stakeholders and Education Services in determining the needs of the course and appropriate method of delivery.


Where you will make an impact
• Create a training vision for stakeholders and transform that vision into engaging instructional
strategies and resources.
• Recommend appropriate modes of training delivery, including but not limited to, elearning,
Instructor-led (virtual and on-ground), and blended training.
• Implement best practices in service delivery to achieve consistent, excellent results.
• Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods to course development.
• Build engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and
knowledge transfer.
• Plan, organize, and manage projects, teams, and events. Create timelines, monitor
milestones & deliverables, and address issues.
• Adhere to instructional design documentation and processes to ensure quality and
consistency.
• Review learning resources and assessments to ensure proper alignment to the intended
learning experience.
• Determine the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment
instruments
• Track and evaluate success of a training program and identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.


What you will bring
• Understanding and application of current and emerging instructional pedagogies, adult
learning theories, learning outcome assessment, project management strategies, game-
based learning, and competency-based education.
• Strong focus on collaboration, cross-departmental teamwork, and technical proficiency
• Solid understanding of and appreciation for higher education
• Experience creating a variety of training formats, such as on-demand, instructor-led and
virtual instructor-led.
• Skilled at understanding and adapting to a wide variety of cultures.
• Ability to summarize (in verbal and written form) technical information to a non-technical
audience.
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, etc
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
• Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to perform comfortably in a deadline-oriented work environment and to execute
complex projects simultaneously with a high degree of quality
