This team is crucial to our business. They work closely with Risk and Compliance to create internal risk management and compliance processes, and to make sure they’re running efficiently

Audit, Risk, and Compliance are an unstoppable trio at the front line of evaluating whether the business is on a safe footing, working across functions, products, and regions to build the best possible infrastructure

We're looking an Internal Auditoras part of the Mexican Internal Audit Team, reporting directly to the Internal Audit Lead, you will be responsible for assessing technology and cybersecurity risks and controls and verifying that the technological infrastructure and systems that supportthe internal processes and operations of the entity are adequate, highlighting any gaps in the control framework or areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best industry practices.

What you’ll be doing

• DevelopingIT and cybersecurity audit procedures and methodologies to review
• Defining scope of reviews and the Internal Audit Plan for IT and cybersecurity
• Analyzing the alignment of IT plans, infrastructure, and systems to business objectives, identifying risks and controls
• Conducting audit reviews, which include risk analysis, testing, data analysis, based on regulatory requirements, best practices, and Global Internal Audit policies
• Planning and execute Internal Audit reviews periodically, based on Internal Audit Plan, and regulatory requirements
• Identifying the root cause of issues, regulatory gaps, and areas for improvement for IT infrastructure, management, security, and third party IT services
• Making recommendations and presenting results to key stakeholders, including Mexican Internal Audit Lead, Local Internal Audit Committee, and Global team.
• Reviewing audit results and coordinating management actions
• Following up on corrective actions

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer systems, or similar
• 4+ years of experience in assessing technology, cybersecurity, and operational risks and controls of different business processes, channels, products, and services, working as IT auditor, IT consultant, or IT supervisor
• Experience in data privacy and in assessing overall IT controls
• Relevant experience working with/in financial institutions (preferably banks, Fintechs, or technology-oriented financial institutions)
• Experience in SPEI audits
• Knowledgeable of main technology standards, such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO.
• Preferably with relevant certifications as an IT auditor (CIA). A plus: CISSP, EMV, PCI
• Familiar with IT regulatory framework for financial institutions.
• Good communication skills, both written and speaking, to interact with main stakeholders and present reports and results
• Advanced English skills, considering the global nature of the company.
• Logical, analytical mind. Strong data analysis background
• Hands-on and a strong will to make an impact

• Showing ownership, and a keen interest in creating value
