The Role

We are looking for FP&A Financial Services Sr Manager who will be part of this amazing and fast – growing Fintech. She / He will lead projects & initiatives with a broad scope and high impact for the Financial Services business. Partners with Lending and Banking commercial teams, Risk, Product and Tech internal teams, to have a robust and broad understanding of the business. He/she will develop business specific models and centralize the different initiatives to produce one consolidated model that anticipates the long-range plan.

The main goal of this position is to provide timely and reliable analysis to the Company, ensuring historic figures and trends aligned with the future financial expectations. She / He will additionally provide insights for Board presentations and monthly results and work in closed collaboration with our FP&A Sr Director.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead the FP&A Financial Services Business Partner team and support the Financial Services business unit.
  • Supervise the financial forecasting for FS BU: Supervise the development and maintenance of the Lending and Banking financial models to forecast lending revenues, expenses, profitability, cash needs and key performance indicators.
  • Lead the Financial Analysis for the Financial Services Business Unit and provide feedback and insights on potential risks and opportunities:
    • Variance Analysis
    • Profitability Analysis
    • Scenario Analysis
  • Budgeting and Planning: Support the coordination of the budgeting and quarterly re forecast, working closely with various departments to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: development of strategic plans and new initiatives providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports for senior management
  • KPI Monitoring: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for lending operations, to improve performance and achieve financial goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Process Documentation: Collaborating with the Risk & Control and Financial Services areas to create clear and comprehensive process documentation, ensuring that procedures are well-documented, understood, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Support the modeling of LTV/CAC analysis to understand long term profitability of the Lending and Banking businesses in alignment with trends and strategic objectives. Ensure LTV & CAC methodology is consistent across the Company.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or related field. MBA is desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience working in the finance team within the lending business (banks, leasing, SOFOMES, SOFIPOS, etc), analyzing and modeling business financials.
  • Strong understanding and previous experience in lending financial planning and analysis, financial modeling and accounting, and credit risk experience.
  • Financial Business Modeling for Lending proven ability.
  • Deep financial acumen of the lending and banking business with experience in the industry (fintech experience a plus), with accounting and credit risk experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and any ERP (Oracle NetSuite would be an asset), including the ability to build and navigate efficiently across robust data sets.
  • Ability to create, execute, and interpret results of basic financial and accounting concepts such as Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Accounts, Departments, Accruals & Provisions.
  • Advanced English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project Management is a plus
