As a Product technology & Quality Management Specialist   you play a key role in contributing towards securing best product from a customer perspective. You have ownership over the quality of the product from sample development to bulk production and the development of Supply Chain Partners in terms of product quality standards and expectations.

Product and product quality are at center of what we do. In this role, you will broadly look after quality aspects of diversified product from sample development to bulk inspection to ensure end to end quality. Therefore, your work area will be extended from supplier sample room development to product management in factory and stakeholder engagement in production office and supplier based on necessity. Keeping safety and user-friendliness in mind, you need to be engaged at the sample stages in product quality, fit and consumption. While doing this you need to conduct risk assessment and find solutions to problems. You need to have knowledge and experience in pattern making, consumption, technical fitting problems.

You are part of setting strategy and common methods to educate and develop our suppliers in product quality, fit, consumption and technical risk assessment. Educate and develop Suppliers towards self-reliance in the product flow in connection to the brands/assortment needs.

You work closely with the necessary stakeholders share information on cases/problems/solutions in order to strengthen product knowledge to ensure we deliver the best product.

You maintain close co-operation with H&M Suppliers and have a good knowledge of H&M Suppliers’ capabilities and abilities. You maintain close co-operation with Business and Production teams and co-operate, co-ordinate and communicate with all concerned stakeholders.

As a Product technology & Quality Management Specialist , you deliver on the areas you have ownership for by living our values every day and primarily through collaboration and teamwork. You build strong trust with our suppliers and within business teams. You guide and direct business teams in terms of different technical options on how to improve our products.

Product technical knowledge to make the risk assessment for a production friendly garment

Self-initiation and self-driven personality to take full ownership of the product quality and the quality management implementation/follow-up at the supplier.

Create a strong knowledgeable quality team at the supplier to ensure that the quality becomes a default process for the production.

You have a proactive and solution-oriented approach to manage current and future problems, and willing to share challenges with stakeholders, and create a shared baseline understanding between merchandising, product development and other quality teams. You have an approach to develop others all the time in terms of product quality and technical fitting areas.

You educate and support suppliers with the aim of improving H&M’s quality. You need to be a strong communicator and give clear directions to the suppliers in terms of the quality of the product. As an internal candidate, you will have a strong connection to the H&M backbone team and possess extensive knowledge of our suppliers' strengths and weaknesses, particularly on a fabric and capability level.

You have knowledge and experience in a variety of production groups – denim is a priority, connecting to product and production quality, as well as pattern making, fit and related software’s.

Communication skills will also be a key element when deciding who we will be suitable for the role as you will need to influence decision makers and manage stakeholders to achieve goals.

The job asks to be at the supplier 70% of the time on the field with the supplier to ensure the quality from the sample stage until the end product shipment.

Since the role is regional it asks travelling within the country and within the region.
