Job Description

Your Impact:

Leverage the latest SFCC technical stack like SFRA/Headless to build cutting-edge digital experiences.

Define and assess application and technical requirements, translating functional requirements and high-level solution designs into detailed SFCC technical designs.

Employ suitable integration technologies to integrate with external systems, including ERPs, CRMs, ESBs, Tax and Payment Services, Address Validation Systems, and external loyalty programs.

Define best practices to manage performance and scalability, ensuring the e-commerce solution meets technical and non-functional requirements.

Own the technical stack and effort estimation for RFP responses.

Mentor and guide the team, enhancing their knowledge of the commerce cloud platform, development skills, goal setting, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience:

10+ years of software developmen experience, with at least 5+ years architecting commerce applications with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Experience in integrating Salesforce Commerce with multiple Salesforce clouds (Marketing, Sales, and Service) and CMS platforms using various integration approaches.

Proven track record in designing scalable multi-brand and multi-country solutions for global clients.

Own platform governance activities, ensuring the safe use of commerce cloud resources by reviewing, mitigating, and resolving error logs and performance issues.

Design and document CI/CD strategies using tools like Jenkins and DevOps practices, enforcing unit and functional test cases to reduce costs while ensuring quality.

Use proofs-of-concept to validate cost estimates and de-risk technical solution delivery.

Conduct workshops with customer teams, preparing cut-over, rollback, and data migration plans.

Build a culture of engineering excellence, focusing on quality, security, performance, scalability, and availability. Design solutions for fault tolerance with appropriate fail-over mechanisms.

Prepare time and cost estimates, identify and mitigate project risks, plan the full project lifecycle, and recommend approaches to improve time to market.

Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to commerce implementation, leading a team to resolve priority issues.

Well-versed in Agile, SAFe, or other software development methodologies, and able to work with the Project Manager to define plans, manage dependencies, and estimate stories.

Set Yourself Apart With:

Experience in integrating Salesforce Commerce Cloud with Salesforce Marketing, Sales, and Service clouds for various cross-cloud use cases.

Deep understanding and experience with SFRA and Headless implementations.

SFCC B2C Architect certification.

Experience in Service Management with ITIL.

Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, Node.js, Mocha/Chai.

Experience using Docker/containerization.

Knowledge of enterprise design patterns and cloud design patterns.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong process orientation and the ability to define and set up processes.

Knowledge of leading cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or MS Azure is an added advantage.
