What awaits you?
• Plan and document logistical supply processes, ensuring efficient material flow from warehouse to production lines and return of empty containers.
• Collaborate with planners to define and approve optimal processes, equipment, structures, and distribution points for efficient material handling.
• Leverage warehouse and route availability analyses to optimize space utilization and container routes.
• Conduct scenario analyses for new projects, focusing on maximizing efficiency, especially for empty container movement.
• Perform calculations to determine container warehouse capacity, material train dolly requirements, and overall logistics infrastructure needs based on project throughput and space demands.
• Work with Industrial Engineers to evaluate and implement effective logistics solutions across the plant.
• Plan and manage internal plant traffic flows to ensure smooth and efficient material movement.
• Identify and address plant/project-specific logistics requirements, ensuring a seamless supply chain.
• Partner with key stakeholders like IT and Purchasing to secure necessary resources for implementing approved logistics plans (requires head management approval).
• Develop comprehensive logistics building layouts for vehicle projects, ensuring optimal space utilization and material flow.
What should you bring along?
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with a focus on material flow and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics planning, warehouse management, or a related field with a strong track record of improving material flow efficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel a plus).
• SAP Knowledge
• Experience with logistics software (e.g., Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems) a plus.
• Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus.
• Fluency in English.
