Roles and Responsibility

PositionSummary:

ASenior Software Engineer at ARCOS is a technical leader who collaborates aspart of an agile development team, providing advanced software engineeringexpertise to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Theideal candidate will deeply understand software architecture, prioritizequality, and be committed to enhancing our codebase’s security, scalability,readability, and testability. We’re seeking individuals with a relentlessdrive, passion for their work, and a strong belief in teamwork. Duties and Responsibilities

· TechnicalLeadership: Lead the design and development of software that alignswith the needs of ARCOS’s customers and strategic goals. Advocate, evangelize,and set standards for code quality and best engineering practices (e.g., cleancode, design patterns, code reviews, and unit testing). Tackle complextechnical challenges and provide solutions that consider both immediate andlong-term implications.

· Teamwork: Workcollaboratively with team members across different departments, contributing tothe collective knowledge and ensuring project success. Mentor junior engineers,helping them grow their technical and professional skills.

· Execution& Delivery: Operate within an Agile Scrum framework, activelyparticipating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, andretrospectives. Take full ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuringtimely delivery with a commitment to quality. Proactively identify technicalchallenges and work with the team to devise effective solutions.

· ContinuousImprovement: Identify areas of improvement in the development processand advocate for changes to enhance team efficiency and product quality. Stayupdated with the latest technological trends and innovations, and lead theexploration and adoption of new technologies when appropriate. Collaborate withtechnical and non-technical team members, providing technical guidance toensure successful project delivery.

· Communication: Collaboratewith the product team, architecture, UI/UX engineers, and other stakeholders toalign technical solutions with business goals. Articulate complex technicalconcepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Desired Education, Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology ora related field (or equivalent work experience).

· 5-10 years experience with full-stack enterprise softwaredevelopment (UI, back end, API, database).

· Strong technical foundation in software engineering designprinciples and architectural patterns. Demonstrated ability to design andimplement robust and scalable systems.

· Proven capability to tackle challenging technical issues and theleadership skills to guide and mentor a team through solution development.

· Communicate effectively with technical and non-technicalaudiences, ability to explain complex technical concepts to peers and juniorengineers.

· Extensive experience in Agile development, continuousintegration, and delivery.

· In-depth knowledge of secure software development practices,including both defensive coding techniques and secure testing methodologies.

· Proven experience implementing various application architecturessuch as multi-tenant, cloud-based, high-volume, and high availability.

· Experience delivering software across various Web and Mobileplatforms, with a history of successful project leadership.

· Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Emphasis onfostering teamwork, sharing knowledge, and building strong, productiverelationships within and across teams..
