Established in April 2012, Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) leads the Child and Youth Finance Movement’s worldwide multi-sectoral network, which is dedicated to enhancing the financial capabilities of children and youth. This involves giving all children and youth the knowledge to make wise financial decisions, the opportunity to accumulate savings, and the skills to find employment, start a business and ultimately break the cycle of poverty. Based in Amsterdam but working globally, we have taken on the challenge of reshaping financial systems and making sure everyone helps children and youth to become economically empowered citizens. What is our mission? Our goal is to facilitate financial inclusion and economic citizenship education for children and youth worldwide. How and with whom do we work? CYFI acts as a network connecting the world’s largest organizations within the field of youth finance. Through stakeholder management, and the creation of guiding principles, CYFI is able to effect positive change, and develop concepts that improve the financial education and inclusion of children and youth.
